Collaboration Magic

“I am just at the beginning stages of looking for collaborators for a possible comic or trailer. Any movement on that will be chronicled here.”

The quote above was all I wrote for this blog post 18 months ago and hadn’t blogged anything since. So much for my ambitions in marketing and building a community! I’ve instead been busy doing the heavy lifting of polishing scripts, writing 2 books, drafting a third, and working to pay for this so-called-life. And now, at the end of 2025, I’ve actually began the process of finding collaborators to build a pitch deck.

I have no illusions about the odds of success in pitching this trilogy. Sending query letters out the door is like playing the lottery. I win a dollar every time I don’t play the lottery. So, rather than firing a shotgun into the void, I’m building a sniper rifle and will be taking aim at the talent I hope to attract. Then find representation, or hire an entertainment attorney to do the needful. My thesis is, if I can get those actors interested, raising the money should be substantially easier. And to get their attention and interest, I’ve got to build a world-class pitch deck to sell the vision.

At this writing, I’m intending to include in that pitch deck the following:
The script: Legend of Dragonfield, polished within an inch of its life.
An 80K word story bible of the above script.
An audio dramatization of the aforementioned.
A look book for the series.
Concept art and Storyboards.
The other two scripts in the trilogy.
A proof of concept film.

We’ll see what 2026 brings.
