Thank you for your interest in my short film initiative!
The goal of this initiative is to help those involved learn the craft of film making, build an audience, and have fun. The hypothesis I hope to prove is that engaging, thought-provoking stories can be told with limited resources, an abundance of creativity, and well, you.
My pledge to all involved is that your time will be valued and respected. All involved in these shorts will be invited back to a cast party, and their role credited on the released film.
Your comfort, safety, and wellbeing will be given the highest regard. The subject matter in most cases will be edgy, and to some viewers controversial. Participants need to be aware that this is by intent, so that these stories can reach the widest possible audience.
While most of these shorts are dramatic, physical activity will largely be confined to such low-risk activities as running, high intensity exercise, crawling, shoving matches, etc.
We will be adhering to the SAG Indy Micro-Budget Project Agreement. There will be no hazardous stunts or sex/nude scenes allowed. An explainer is here.
Final films may be submitted to film festivals, free-to-consumer new media platforms (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.), screenings for Academy Awards consideration, demo purposes, public access TV, and classrooms
